Tip #2: Yes, you can download only parts of an audiobook. Once you have selected the option to transfer a book and have selected the device to transfer it to, you will see a list of all the parts (or chapters) for that book; you can deselect any chapters you do not wish to transfer.

Tip #3: This can be caused by either of two different scenarios. Both are listed below.
- This happens when the iPod does not have Audiobooks checked for sync on the iTune's music tab. So plug in your iPod, open iTunes, click on your iPod, select the Music tab, then select the Audiobooks playlist to synch.
- This issue can be caused when the Transfer /Sync process is not completed properly in iTunes. Please take the following steps to correct:
- Delete the audiobook from your iTunes.
- Sync your iPod (with the book removed from iTunes, so it is removed from the iPod as well).
- Open Ingram Media Manager.
- Click on the title.
- Go to the FILE Menu.
- Click on Transfer.
- Select your device and continue with the transfer as normal.
- IMPORTANT: Make sure that when you get the screen at the end that says "Wait until iTunes is finished syncing", you go to iTunes and see the box at the top that says the "Sync is complete." Ingram's warning screen blends in with the iTunes screen and this can be confusing.

Tip #4: This issue is usually caused when the Transfer/Sync process is not completed properly. Please take the following steps to correct:
- Delete the audiobook from your iTunes.
- Sync your iPod (with the book removed from iTunes, so it is removed from the iPod as well).
- Also Delete the title from your Ingram Media Manager (IMM) Media Folder (usually found in My Documents on your computer).
- Open Ingram Media Manager (IMM).
- Click on the title.
- Go to the FILE Menu.
- Click on Transfer.
- Select your device and continue with the transfer as normal.
- IMPORTANT: Make sure that when you get the screen at the end that says "Wait until iTunes is finished syncing" you go to iTunes and see the box at the top that says the "Sync is complete." Ingram's warning screen can blend in with the iTunes screen and this can be confusing.

Tip #6: The error message "Your license doesn't permit this operation" is an issue with the Windows Media Player DRM.
Please confirm you are running Windows Media Player 11, and if so and the problem persists, it means you have a corrupt Windows Media Player license store. Please delete the folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM.
Beware... Deleting that folder will also remove licenses for other content. This should be ok because your Windows Media licenses are corrupt if this error occurred, but we like to warn patrons of this anyways. This corruption is apparently pretty common with Microsoft.
